Here we get to know Paola (better known as Pao), an incredible SDR and the first woman that joined our London Office.
What’s your role at CB4 and what does your day-to-day look like?
I’m currently a Sales Development Representative here at CB4, based in our London office. I joined the company in January 2020, I can’t believe it’s been more than a year already!
Can you talk a little bit about the path that led you to CB4?
I felt like I had outgrown my previous company and was ready for a new challenge. While in the process of interviewing for different roles, I realised that what I truly wanted was to be part of a dynamic and fun startup where I had the opportunity to grow and contribute to the success of the company. When Hannah reached out to me about the role, I immediately knew I wanted to be part of CB4 — it seemed like the perfect fit! I could hear in her voice that she was genuinely happy and she had told me that she had worked her way up from an SDR role. Everything she described to me was everything I was looking for — that and the fact that everybody in the background was in the middle of a gingerbread competition.
What’s one new fact/skill/thing you’ve learned while working at CB4?
It’s not a secret that last year has been a different one for everyone, working with CB4 during such a difficult time has taught me that change is inevitable and that I can either let change happen to me or I can make change happen. I am grateful and excited that I get to ride this wave of new opportunities for personal and professional growth with such a great team of talented people.
Of CB4’s company values, which speaks to you most and why?
Be human — I think it reflects the way I approach life in general. At work, I talk to new people every day. As a matter of fact, I get paid to talk to people and get them engaged. Sometimes they don’t like what I have to say (if I am totally honest, most of the time they don’t), but after conversations settle in, they might actually hear what it is I am trying to tell them.
At the heart of every conversation that I have is this; how can I win their time and attention? The answer lies within each person, but it is about really listening and understanding their perspective and priorities, by simply being human.
What are you into doing outside of work?
I spend most of my time in nature! Whether it’s hiking a mountain or walking in a forest, I feel most alive when I’m outdoors. I also recently got into photography and my favorite kind is landscape photography, so they are the perfect combo for a perfect weekend.
Do you think of shopping differently since joining CB4? How?
Definitely. Whenever I can’t find a specific product while shopping I can’t help but think that CB4 would have already fixed that… Also, I can’t leave a store without mentally checking off if I’ve already spoken to the Operations team or not haha.

What’s the best decision CB4 has made in the last year?
Evolving and adapting to new needs! CB4 has stayed on top of what it does best, and it has done it in a way that inspires me daily to feel empowered and invest my efforts in providing the best possible work and keep bringing new opportunities to work with.
